Fernandez-Valdes wins Abierto de Chile

Jorge Fernandez-Valdes fired a final-round, 2-under 72 and he earned a 2-shot victory at the Abierto de Chile. Fernandez-Valdes, who has now won twice on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica after his victory at the Mundo Maya Open last year, finished the week at 17-under- par 271 at Club de Golf Los Leones. Beginning the day in the lead, Fernandez-Valdes coasted on the front nine, as he did throughout most of the week. Fernandez-Valdes drained two birdies in his first four holes on two and four. After a pair of pars, Fernandez-Valdes poured in three straight birdies from seven, getting him to minus-5 on the day. It was a rough finish for Fernandez-Valdes as he made the turn, but it did not matter in the end. Fernandez-Valdes made a double-bogey on 10 to go along with bogeys on 11 and 13. He coasted to the finish, however, as he made four pars and a birdie on 17 to close out the title. American Joel Dahmen (68) and Armando Favela (71) finished tied for second at 15-under 273, while American Brad Hopfinger (70) ended alone in fourth at minus-14.

Turkish Airlines Open 2014 | Day FOUR

Brooks Koepka wins Turkish Airlines Open

Brooks Koepka of the USA fired an excellent final round of 65 to win the Turkish Airlines Open by the Ministry of Youth and Sports by a single shot from England’s Ian Poulter. Koepka made a fabulous eagle three on the 13th hole to take a two-shot lead and nobody was able to close the gap as the American parred his way in.

Ian Poulter reduced the deficit to one after a birdie on the 13th, but he was unable to get on level terms with Koepka. After a fine bunker shot on the closing hole, Poulter faced a short birdie putt to tie Koepka’s 72-hole total of 17-under-par, but he missed from six feet. The victory was Koepka’s first on the European Tour and it has moved him to sixth on the Race to Dubai with just next week’s DP World Tour Championship left to play. “It’s a special week obviously, these four events and The Race to Dubai are ones you prepare for all year, and to win one of them is very special,” said Koepka.

Despite not playing this week, Rory McIlroy has won the 2014 Race to Dubai. Only Jamie Donaldson, Sergio Garcia and Marcel Siem could catch the Northern Irishman before this event, but all three needed a victory in Antalya to keep their hopes alive. Siem came closest. He was only a shot off the lead going into the final round over The Montgomerie Maxx Royal course, but he closed with a 71 to finish the week in a tie for eighth. Ian Poulter was disappointed to miss the crucial putt on the 18th, but he was more frustrated by his poor play on Saturday. The Englishman was six shots clear of the pack after 36 holes, but his third round of 75 cost him dearly. “I’ll be angry for a few days, but the damage was done on Saturday,” he said. “That, for me, is really disappointing. To have played three great rounds of golf, and just one blip on Saturday, which is a real shame.” Henrik Stenson carded a brilliant final round of 64 to climb the leaderboard and finish in third spot. The Swede will take a great deal of confidence into next week when he defends his DP World Tour Championship title in Dubai.

Can You Hit a Golf Ball Flying Out of a ’69 Ford Mustang?

We hired a professional stunt-car driver to spin donuts in a 1969 Ford Mustang as the Bryan Bros try to nail a crazy trick shot. Can the pros pull it off before the car turns to dust?

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil  - Rafael Becker fired a 7-under 62 in Sunday's final round and he won the Aberto do Brasil by three strokes. Becker, who became the first Brazilian to win on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica, finished at 14-under-par 262 at Gavea Golf and Country Club. After a bogey at the first, Becker birdied the fifth. He dropped another shot at seven, but erased that mistake with a birdie on the par-4 ninth.

Mi Hyang Lee Wins Playoff to Claim Mizuno Classic

Mi Hyang Lee of South Korea birdied the fifth hole of a three-way playoff Sunday to win the Mizuno Classic for her first LPGA title.

Lee sank a birdie putt to beat compatriot Ilhee Lee and Japan's Kotono Kozuma. She shot 69 in regulation to finish tied at 11-under 205 with Ilhee Lee (70) and Kozuma, who also had a 69 in the final round. "It was my first playoff ever so before I started the playoff I was a little nervous," said Lee, who made her LPGA debut in 2012. "I just kept playing and made pars and birdies and the other players played really good. It was exciting when I made the last putt." The trio pared the first two playoff holes before an exciting third playoff hole where all three players made long birdie putts with the shortest being Mi Hyang Lee's at 25 feet to keep the three-person playoff rolling. The group exchanged pars again on the 4th playoff hole before Lee tapped in for the win and the $180,000 winner's prize.

The 21-year-old is the seventh South Korean to win on the LPGA Tour in 2014, and the second consecutive after Inbee Park won in Taiwan last Sunday. Prior to Sunday, Lee had only had three top-10 finishes, including a sixth-place finish at the Reignwood LPGA Classic last month in Beijing. Laura Davies, who held a share of the lead after the second round and was bidding to become the oldest winner in LPGA history at 51, had a 71 to finish one stroke back of the leaders. Karrie Webb of Australia and Morgan Pressel of the United States were also among the group of nine players tied for fourth place. Defending champion Teresa Lu of Taiwan shot a 67 to finish tied for 13th, while second-ranked Stacy Lewis, the 2012 winner, had a 69 and was six strokes off the lead. The Mizuno Classic was the final stop on the LPGA's Asian tour. The next tournament is the Nov. 13-16 Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Mexico.

Bubba Watson's dramatic finish in HSBC Champions brings him 1st world title

Bubba Watson holed a bunker shot for eagle on the final hole Sunday, and then made a 20-foot birdie putt in the playoff to win the HSBC Champions. Watson defeated Tim Clark, who had made birdie on the 18th to get in the playoff. It was the first World Golf Championship title for Watson, and he won't soon forget the finish. The two-time Masters champion had control until a sloppy bogey on the 16th hole and a double bogey on the 17th hole when he took two shots from the bunker. That left him one shot behind, and he appeared to be destined for a runner-up finish at best until his bunker shot left of the 18th green rolled the final 25 feet into the cup.
