Marcel Siem win the BMW Masters

Marcel Siem pulled off a dramatic victory at the BMW Masters, chipping in on the first sudden-death playoff hole for the title.

Siem was forced to head to extra holes after missing a 6-footer on the 72nd green, moving on to a playoff with Alexander Levy and Ross Fisher after finishing in regulation at 16-under 272 at Lake Malaren Golf Club in Shanghai, China.

Levy headed into the round with control of the lead, but could not maintain it after shooting a 6-over 78 on the final day.

The group of three was trailed by Justin Rose and Jamie Donaldson, who finished tied for fourth at 15 under. Donaldson had a birdie putt to join the playoff, but left it short on the 18th.

The win is the fourth on the European Tour for Siem, a native of Germany.
