As part of Red Bull Capital Drive, PGA tour Rookie of the Year Rickie Fowler hit a hole in one from an elevated tee box, without a sight line, at a man-made hole constructed for him at Washington Harbor at the Georgetown Waterfront. Leading into the US Open, the man-made 106-yard hole tested Fowler's precise shot-making skills, surrounded by fans, buildings and a narrow fairway leading to a fountain hole with the Potomac River as a backdrop and winds swirling. Fowler's shots had to go over a fountain hazard - and into an island green placed in another fountain.

Forget The Flag
Own every par 3
1. Forget the flag. I'm looking at the middle of the green. It's safer.
2. I get confidence from rehearsing the real swing I want to make.
3. I commit to my practice swing, and also my target. Then it's time to hit.

Zach Johnson wins The Open Championship 2015
Though 22-year-old Texan Jordan Spieth fell short of winning his third major of the year, another American managed to bring home victory on Monday at the Open Championship. Zach Johnson shot an incredible -6 par during Monday’s final round to finish at -15 for the weekend. After Louis Oosthuizen and Marc Leishman tied his final score, Johnson would go on to win a four-hole playoff and claim victory at St. Andrews. This is the 39-year-old Johnson’s second major victory, with his first coming at the 2007 Masters. Also, his caddy showed off some impressive dance moves several times throughout Johnson’s historic round, with the best coming after a birdie putt on No. 18.

Tom Watson makes emotional farewell walk up 18th hole in his final British Open
Tom Watson makes emotional farewell walk up 18th hole in his final British Open
Tom Watson did not let the weather deter him from soaking up St. Andrews during an emotional walk to the 18th hole at his final Open Championship.
Tom Watson's moment in the sun in his final British Open was shrouded in gloom as the weather-delayed second round at St. Andrews was suspended due to darkness before the five-time Open champion could finish up on Friday.
"This is a crying shame, it really is," ESPN's Mike Tirico said as R&A officials got ready to call it. "The romantic in us wanted Tom Watson in the sunlight to walk over the Swilcan Bridge and have the place full and the town packed. Instead it will only be a few." Amid confusion about whether Watson would get through his 18 holes before the horn blew signaling and end to play for the day, spectators re-lined the 18th fairway as the American who's as close to a Scottish native as someone from Kansas could be unleashed his last drive and made his way over the Swilcan Bridge.
Despite the gloaming, what was not dampened was Watson’s love affair with Scotland, which was on full display as the five-time British Open winner made his sentimental final tour of St. Andrews as an Open Championship contender.
"The crowds are very nice, very appreciative, and I'm appreciative back. I respect what they're doing for me," said Watson, playing this week on an invitation from the R&A, after an opening-round 4-over 76. "You know, you give respect to people who give you respect. That's what I've done. That's what I do."
He got a standing ovation from the 1st tee all the way through his final loop. A large crowd also came out on the patio at the Old Course hotel, which lines the most famous par-4 in golf, the Road Hole 17th.
Several R&A officials and some of his competitors came out of the clubhouse to surround the green for his final putt at the Championship he became synonymous with. Matt Kuchar, who finished hours ahead of Watson, was there to greet him along with players from both sides of the pond. Billy Horschel tweeted his viewpoint.

Scottish Open: Rickie Fowler ready for Open after Gullane win
Rickie Fowler's late surge edged out fellow American Matt Kuchar and Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin as he won the Scottish Open at Gullane.
A delightful wedge to within 2ft of the 18th hole set him up for a third birdie in the last four holes to finish on 12 under par, one clear of Kuchar, who shot 68, and Jacquelin.
Scotland's Marc Warren carded a 64 and had led in the clubhouse on 10 under.
But he was later overtaken by the big-name American duo and Jacquelin.
England's Eddie Pepperel and Joost Luiten of the Netherlands also finished two shots off the pace at the tournament used by many of the field as preparation for this week's Open at St Andrews.
